Hook A Monster is here!

Welcome to our crafty corner of the world. We want to tell you all about Hook A Monster. Where do we start? We'll start at the beginning! THIS is our beginning: today, we launch our fun, colourful crochet workshop. In three hours, Hook A Monster will get you out of your craft apprehension and into the glory of making stitches and counting stitches like a boss!

If you're new to crochet, no problems! If you've tried once and crochet got the better of you, let us demystify it for you. Hook A Monster teaches you the basics of crochet in our favourite form called Amigurumi. It is a Japanese word for the art of making stuffed dolls and toys which apparently has been happening on this green earth since the late 1800s. Now we have brighter colours in our yarn and softer toy filling! What a time to be alive... or specifically for our purposes, to make quirky, feral, adorkable little monsters!

Have a look here to see what people have made in our previous workshops. Hook A Monster workshops are held in private spaces with music, drinks and biscuits! We provide all the materials needed. We have three or four people in the small groups with the whole workshop not exceeding twelve people. At the end of the Hook A Monster workshop, you take home a unique monster toy that you can't buy anywhere. You also take home the skills and the confidence to take on other crochet projects. Maybe a hat or a scarf or more Amigurumi critters!

If you book our Workshop with a Goodie Bag, you can take home a set of crochet hooks, a stitch marker, a darning needle, an extra ball of yarn, a bag of toy filling and our excellent reference booklet with extra patterns for you to try at home.

Do you already know how to crochet? Why not share the joy of the art by getting your loved ones a gift voucher? They can use it to book a Hook A Monster workshop at a time that's convenient for them.

To celebrate our launch, we're also offering £5 off all workshops. The offer lasts until 30th June. Our next class is on 11th June so book fast!

Come join us on this Amigurumi adventure!
